Main Account: admin [Irobashi]
Other Characters: Danielle Messick------------------------------------------------------------------------------WHO ARE YOU?
Name: Coldsteel
Nicknames: None yet, for those who knew him in the old days that may have shortened his name to Steel.
Age: 36 in human years [ he was there somewhat pre-The Great War ]
Gender: Male
Route: Straight
Alignment: Autobots
Status: He's both a warrior and one to collect data. By this I mean use stealth and go figure out why something is happening or perhaps go break out fellow comrades. He's shown his worth with such problems, he's a quick thinker and quick on his feet.
Skills: Under water speed
Stats
Strength: 7
Intelligence: 7
Courage: 10
Firepower: 6
Speed: 5 [8 under water]
Rank: 2
Endurance: 7
Skill: 7------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE DETAILSStanding at 17.8 feet tall, he's mostly white other than the blue from his alternate form that shows here and there. His alternate is that of a Corvette, the numbers meeting the sides of his arms and his chassis thick and tightly bound together to form a well armored shield. His side head fins always remained unsheathed, able to rotate and move as he so pleases. As for the fins upon his feet, the webbing of his fingers, the claws, and the under water turbines, you guessed it, only show their faces in H2o. Other than his teal optics, you'll always notice his rows of shark-like teeth.
Holoform: Jake Hiebie------------------------------------------------------------------------------YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH
Likes:
- Having a drink, but, it's not much on his mind anymore anyways. Once he starts it tends to be difficult to stop. He tends to only do so when there are others he can trust around.
- Having anyone he calls friend around, being alone emotionally sucks.
- Having a reason to keep going.
- Earth's ocean and sea-life
- Capturing Decepticons
- Having someone he can depend on, someone to depend on him, a friend to fight in combat with.
- The water
- Making "good nuff" repairs.
Dislikes:
- Being extremely drunk, or drunk enough to the point just trying to look at the wall becomes irritating.
- Any situation seen as bad being out of his control.
- Having to wait too long, he does tend to have low patience and he'll end up fidgeting or pacing without realizing it.
- Being lectured, he tends not to take you seriously if you lecture him or talk down at him.
- Being caught eaves dropping.
- Something he tried to cover up being discovered.
- Thinking too much or too hard about things in the past, he tries to leave it there unless it's good memories of recent history with Aqua.
- Thinking of himself as a horrible uncle.
- Being entirely alone.
- Fishing nets; hitting things he doesn't intend to hit under water.
- Taking heavy damage in a brawl and being rendered useless.
- Having his under water modification features targeted in a fight and or torn from him.
- Decepticons
- Not having done something to prevent the death of a teammate.
Personality: Loyalty - Something he believes comes standard when it comes to a friendship, or a family relationship. For others, it does not. When is comes to dishonesty, being cheated, and being sold, you're nothing in his eyes. Dishonesty can most definitely be forgiven, but his low tolerance renders him from being around many, or even wanting to be so in the first place. You can break loyalty with him if he sees you're no good, and you'll never see him again. If he felt you truly deserved it, rather than pulling you up from the flames you dangle over, he'd crush your hands with his foot and watch you drop. When it comes to loyalty with him, there is no greater bond, well, other than the love for his niece. She could do her worst, though he would ache in the most unimaginable ways, he would still save her in the end.
What's Right - Coldsteel is one to go for what's right in his eyes. If he doesn't see eye to eye with a friend's "right and wrong", he'll try to talk them out of it, through it, or wish them luck. Hell, if he isn't strongly against their opinion, he'll jump into the danger with them and have their back. That is, if you're that good of a friend, comrade. Unfortunately today, the only friend he has is Aquaduct. Back within his own history, he did have said comrades, boy weren't those the days? As for the "doing what's right" bit, he'll die for it. If some enemy were to tell him to do something he would never in a thousand years see as the right thing, he would turn on them with the weapon they gave him to carry out their command and try to take out as many as possible with him. ( Situation that might occur? Being told to maim his own comrades or he'll perish. ) Coldsteel will never be one to go quietly. If he sees someone being framed for something they did not do, he'll go out of his way to try and fix the problem.
Stubborn Headstrong Soldier - When his mind is set on doing something, good luck to you when it comes to trying to change it. If you're closer enough to him personally, it proves to be much much easier. This also comes with trying to get him to imply empathy a lot of the time. It's not that he's stupid, it's just that shell of a helm that has thickened so after so many years of his history. He's patient enough, he'll sit down with you and listen unless you're just going to set there and spit out goobily guk then he'll most likely leave you to do that. Do that sort of thing, and he may find talking to you next time to be a waste of his shortening time. You'll notice this soldier will reach out to help someone, but accepting help is not something he ever wants to do. He's not one to open up, he carries both his burdens and the burdens of others. You'll see that after being beaten to near death, he'll still get back off the ground and fight to protect his niece, his loved ones. Even if it's not much, just a stagger and fall, it's enough of a distraction to try and free those in trouble and that's all that counts, even if it means death. You might notice, he's ready to die, but he'd rather go down with a fight. Others might see the only real reason he sticks around is so there is always someone there, trustworthy, to watch over Aquaduct.
No Joke - Those who see him, believe that his job is to just play a pawn in the front line of battle or perhaps to be sent on missions to gather information. What they don't know is his hidden title behind it as a mercenary. Though you'd think it went against a lot of the things he views and says, he still does it, or well, he used to. It didn't often matter who gave him the job though he has declined before due to his own opinions. In his later work, hit jobs or stealth missions. Basically, deliver or take and leave. In earlier work, military duties. "The scientists are the one's who made him pretty" is how he puts in words, describing in his mind who gave him his mutations and scars. He can seem a bit like a gruff warrior though he has enough people skills to get by. Stern and straight forward, you wouldn't believe what the big guy could pull off when it comes to remaining unseen and cloaked, forever patient in a job that requires a wait though knowing the risks if he waits too long. His slip ups might make his past work hard to believe. He likes to go in, break everything, and then leave now these days. It's easier to just destroy what needs to be destroyed, swipe at whoever are needing to be killed, rather than try to sneak by it all. Getting caught is just far too easy in this time of day.
Watchful Eyes - Though he seems trusting of those he does not know (which is pretty much all but his niece, this changes in the water. When submerged in water that won't gag him with toxic waste or disease, he's normally quite at ease though he can also be on edge with predatory instincts. Unfortunately, if driven to it and blinded with torture and pain along with starvation, it would be possible that he might attack just about anyone without second thought.
Strengths:
His loyalty is pretty strong, befriend this guy and just for kicks if you asked him to, he'd help you break in and out of some important facility or perhaps bust you out of custody.
Other than that, his battle skills and ways of scrapping others along with his underwater features would be his other strength.
He does have some history in architecture, though he doesn't often share it. Of course, with the war going on, that career soon ended. Instead, he was making repairs and checking structural designs when he could. Often with him having gotten somewhat rusty, he'll just make a quick repair to get things moving, if he has the chance, he could spend all day trying to fix it and make it look nice.
Weaknesses: Once he starts drinking he finds it difficult to stop. After awhile it must come to an end of course, but perhaps a friend or those drinking with him could try to put an end to it before he ends up in a coma? That is, if they can catch him. If he gets drunk enough he'll go into crazed war mode, though it's different from time to time. He'll grab a weapon, could be a chair or the bumper off someone's car, and go make a little fort to protect himself from fire. Some mind find it either sad or adorable when it turns out to be a fort of couches r other furniture around the base, not so much when someone walks over and the back of someone's jeep breaks their leg.
He tends to not always think through certain consequences and he'll ''bend'' the rules/orders to do things his way.
He tends to become stubborn and irritated and might make something worse. Sometimes, such as being caught in a net, he'll finally stop to try and untangle himself. If he fails, he'll try raging again. Let's see where that gets him.
Getting caught in something under water can screw him over. Tires out quickly if he goes too long of distances too fast with his under water turbo boosters. If you've got a large foot on his back directly, face planted on the ground, he can't really do much if anything at all.------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE SKELETONS IN YOUR CLOSET
Family:
Mother: Motorist (Deceased)
Father: Tirejack (Deceased)
Brother: Shriekbreaker (Deceased)
Sister: Astrofin (Deceased)
Niece: Aquaduct
History: There is much to remember, to him, much more to forget. Whether it be war or other past experiences, he wishes he could clean those painful slates and start new at times. Though, during others, he knows if he had the choice, he might have those memories locked to him forever more. From being raised with his sister to fight in the war, underwater combat. Both he and his sister had been modified slightly, able to take on the underwater world, hoping to use this as an upper hand on the Decepticons. Before anything could be done of his brother, he had been taken elsewhere for protection as he was weak and dying. He has faint but detailed memories of Ambofin and himself jumping about in the water, that was the thing, it couldn't be on Cybertron. Attempting to bring the war to a different planet, one seeming somewhat vacant, but usable, with water. This group of Autobots had wanted their suffering planet and home to be brought back to its original glory, if they took their war to a planet where it didn't seem so much damage would be caused, they could use many of the flying and swimming warriors to their advantage. No inhabitants in sight, they couldn't help but frown, the planet's beauty not going to last the month.
Different memories such as more would come up, Boltstreak being brought back, the two fighting side by side in war at times, him and his big brother. He'd give a laugh when they were okay, look scared and nervous when they were about to go head first into an attack. Though Boltstreak would always tell him something wise with gruff, before leading the two into battles. After his sister's death however, when their camp was invaded by Decepticons, his haunting guilt began when he could do nothing as she died in her arms, Boltstreak wounded badly and telling the others to go while he held their attackers off. Being forcefully brought onto the ship they fled on, screaming for his brother as he felt the bond cut off and disintegrate, leaving the planet he had learned to somewhat love. The beauty they studied, no one would win when the hands of the Decepticons who let out battle cries and wrecked what they could down below.
Comrade after comrade, life after life, Coldsteel was in charge of leading attack, ambush, and data collecting teams now and then. Whether it be to find out what the Cons were up to, or to try and kill them. With the pinkish purple fluids of other mechs and femmes dripping from the splatters on his metals, he only gave a stern, gruff, hardened expression, ready to kill the next Decepticon that dared to stand in his path. He knew he didn't want to for awhile, later that having changed, but he did so anyways for the sake of Cybertron and the Autobots. And, for the sake of whatever other planets that came to keep the Decepticons from destroying more lives.
Further detail - The Autobots are meant to be, as a whole, the kind that would not harm one another. The tech hadn't entirely been used before, Coldsteel and his femme sibling had offered to test it out. There were some unstable changes from aggression, which when occurred subjects were restrained, to very odd instincts that led to hostility toward others. Through training and help, they were brought up on the planet they took plotting refuge on. When the attack came and the planet was taken by the Decepticons along with Coldsteel's brother, he only fought more and more to get back. A few of the Autobots, having planned on reusing the research that had come up with, stayed behind as well to destroy all they had worked for. Their hopes and dreams, crushed at their own hands to prevent the Decepticons from getting a hold of such a weapon, and Coldsteel could only Howl in pain when a mass explosion formed in the distance on the small, crumbling planet where his brother's bond was severed. Today, he looks at the procedures that took place long ago as projects that would never be looked at again. He looked upon them as nothing, he noticed no difference anymore. Whatever had been changed was part of him and could no easier be removed than ripping off ones arm and saying it is not a part of them and never was. He hasn't heard much these days of family matters, he gave up any thoughts of searching for his brother a long time ago. Boltstreak was written as his location being unknown rather than deceased.------------------------------------------------------------------------------IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY?
Weaponry: - Energon Pistol
- Betty: A specialized plasma cannon that fires explosive energy pulses.
Extra: Specialized Sensory System (SSS) - Mainly thought of use for catching sound waves or movement strong enough, they can also be used on land though may not be as great as under water. This has been seen as a strength, but it can also be a weakness. Vibrations from all over plus sound following nonstop can confuse this system, he's able to block such and go with the good old fashioned normals, but that won't stop touch. Say when Skywarp ripped his unsheathed shark-like fin off his helm, it was horribly painful. If it had been a normal piece of armor, it would of hurt but not nearly as much. When the system's streams are being torn apart where their links and connections are strongest (mainly around his aquatic features) that what tends to harm him the most.)------------------------------------------------------------------------------WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT MEColdsteel nodded at Twister after Ratchet was kind enough to show her a few memories. He himself decided to send some to her as well. ~"I think there might be endless memories of Bumblebee climbing up to sit next to Blackfire or at one time..."~ He'd rather not explain it, he remembered it faintly until finally digging deeper to get a clearer picture. He sent the memory data to Twister via open comm so Bumblebee could get a peek too if he wanted, or even Ratchet, he didn't mind.Much younger looking with no roughage about his tamed armor, seeming more open and happy to be climbing up to one of their usual spots. Coldsteel hadn't had to climb so much until he befriended two fliers, and during this time he didn't have the ragged rows of teeth or claws, no fins to be seen whatsoever, just him and his usual daily climb. Continuing to climb, he struggled here and there on the side of the building, getting near an opening with a dock for fliers above and a roof over it, nearly there only for Bumblebee and Blackfire to pop their heads out of nowhere and shout down at him. With widened optics and a yelp of his own, Coldsteel let go and fell hard quite over several yards down and slamming on his back. Bumblebee had looked like he reached out to catch but was too late, blinking and looking as though he were in trouble before shouting down.
~"Are you okay Coldsteel?.."~
Coldsteel twitched on the ground, and clenched his teeth a bit. Though overall, giving a thumbs up. Oh, he'd get those two back.
When Ratchet addressed him, he had definitely liked how fast and painless that was. He did as asked, rotating his foot before jumping off the berth altogether and stepping on it here and there. He seemed to rather like the outcome, looking back at Ratchet gratefully. ~"It's perfect, thanks Doc."~ He lifted a hand to the top of his head, just making sure everything there was alright too with a mental growl. He wondered what all Skywarp tweaked there but, he'd probably find out sooner or later. He was happy he hadn't been reprogrammed. His outlook on things didn't seem to change, he still hated the Decepticons, he was still pissed about Skywarp hijacking him, he still enjoyed being with old friends. He was very happy that Ratchet had repaired his foot well. ~"A lot nicer than Skywarp that's for sure. Grrn, when I get my hands on that guy. He's lucky I had a distraction, stupid fragger."~ He didn't want to go off, and was definitely steaming about his foot being blown off, not being able to teach Skywarp a lesson. He was happy other than that though, that his rescuer had been Twister of all Bots. ~"Well, I guess it meant reuniting with old friends."~
