A sparked military build, Ironhide is wide through the shoulders and chassis with heavy limbs that house some serious firepower. He stands tall for an Autobot (roughly Bulkhead's height) and while not quite as massive as Bulkhead he is still considerably heavier armored than most. Predominately deep red (not candy apple) with gunmetal and black trim. Altmode is a ]GMC Sierra Denali truck, modded with heavy off-road tires.
[I'll have a drawing up when I get the chance, this body with this head. Altogether, he is red with black trim. Link]------------------------------------------------------------------------------YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH

- Being reminded of his age. He knows how old he is, he still has some fight left in him.
Personality: Ironhide is the gruff army drill instructor that everyone dreads and appreciates at the same time. Ironhide can back himself up with a strong fist and a large cannon. Often times he is there to back up his comrades along with letting others know his right from wrong and when they've stepped too far out of line.
This mech doesn't beat around the bush and often tends to respect honesty. His own blunt honesty can seem somewhat brutal sometimes, though if he likes you enough, he may attempt to soften the blow. That never changes the fact that he says what he means and he stands by it. What comes to mind when it's time to speak is what he says. There is no diluting the water and there is no dressing it up.
One thing you can always count on is his undying loyalty. Once you have it, you've fully grasped it, likely, he will never let it go. Cutting you away will be much like killing someone off who shares a Spark bound bond with him. To just cut off the tie and let it go would likely damage this mech on the inside like many things have, but, he would still keep going until the end nonetheless. One strong example of his loyalty would be that to Optimus Prime; while experience has instilled a hard edged cynical side to Ironhide, firmly rooted in the starkness of reality, he can't help but strive to believe in the strength of Prime's dreams for their race's future. Even with his loyalties, however strong they are, that does not mean he is to be seen as a blind dog or obedient puppet. 'Hide tends to be the protective guardian of his comrades. What Ironhide has to live for would be the Autobots. Until they're gone, he's going to seek to dismantle anything that threatens them.
When the right thing, is the wrong thing, where will you stand? Ironhide knows very well that some orders are meant to be broken, and he doesn't hesitate from decided when or how. If it takes stepping out of line to get the job done, then he will. Optimus or Ratchet could talk him into leaving an old grudge be for the moment and point him towards the path of wisdom, though on his own, he will take any means he sees necessary to get that job done at near any cost.
One thing you'll notice in any fight, Ironhide shoots and asks questions later. You'll find the mech charging in head first firing with every weapon that he can and busting heads before you can even begin to speak of your plans. If yelled at for it, he's likely going to state he can be the distraction or he'll respond with "you're too slow" and keep trying to blast apart the enemy. Explosives, fire, ammunition meant to cut up the crowd. Ironhide tends to tag beside the group he's fighting with as if just to make sure they themselves are fine throughout the fight. Not often will he wander off unless he's dead-set on the Decepticon he missed or perhaps if he was knocked away. A weak point Ironhide has is being overwhelmed. Something that can be hard to do depending on the opponent especially when it comes to wiping out those bolting at him with their own weaponry and fire power. EMP, unrelenting numbers in a single dog pile, and a severe beating in that order are your best hopes of getting even with Ironhide. If you're going to take him, make sure his buddies have their own hands full. 'Hide shows a fiery side in and outside of battle, and he isn't about to go down easy.
Even if his ways tend to worry or frighten others at times, Ironhide will still bound in guns blazing with a big grin as he watches the lights dance off the barrels. Ironhide has a quick temper, a mouth, a streak of stubbornness a mile wide, and a tendency to reach for blunt force first and attack head on. Despite that, beneath the tough-as-nails growl he has a softness for those in need, a fierce loyalty to his friends, and a deep protectiveness of those weaker than himself.
Strengths: Rough, tough and a little gun-happy. Ironhide is known as the cantankerous weapons specialist and military strategist of the Autobots in the Transformers franchise. Ironhide never fails to show up and clear the room with explosive rounds he'll empty into any 'Con he sees.
Gruff and ornery, he prefers actions to words, and dislikes talk for talk's sake. But though he may be rough around the edges, he's still optimistic and upbeat. The upside to being through more than your share of trouble means trouble ain't so big a scare anymore.
Ironhide is one of those who refuses to go down. He's had enough replacement parts to build a small army and just won't roll over for anyone. If today is the end, then he's going to go and take a grand ammount of Decepticons with him.
Upgrades, mods, and a quick fix, you come to Ironhide. It seems much like a little hobby when it comes to modifying weaponry to be bigger, stronger, faster, more efficient, and far more reliable whilst making the enemy feel like they've just been hit with a bullet train. His own fire power is often cared for and ready to go, always making sure such weapons are in grand condition and braced for battle. One could say his cannons are in far better shape than he is.
Ironhide is more than well experienced with hand to hand combat and he can take down most opponents. Some new ones have been spotted on Earth, very large, powerful ones. What would insure that he can prove himself to be quite the hinderance would be how stubborn he is. You could rip off his legs, he blast at you, every weak point he could spot to try and down you before aiming for a kill shot. If he's not dead, he's still going to fight.
Weaknesses: When it comes to his stubborn ways of attacking head first, being overwhelmed tends to bring this mech down. What he was thinking before he jumped into the fight was that he needed to jump in and take the punishment that some of his comrades could not. When it comes to being outdown by the crowd, he then starts trying to think of ways to get out of it, not having had the time before and certainly not having it then. Soon he could find himself at the bottom of the growing pile, unable to lift his cannons to aim.
This mech tends to forget that he isn't the most heavily armored being on le battlefield, nor does he bear the longest ranged weapons. Always running in head first without second though of who he's taking on, flight and distance ranged attacks tend to act as an issue. What he thinks it may take to take him down and what all can actually do him in are entirely two different scales. He'll never admit the scarring, old replacement parts, and wear down on his body and being have slowed him a bit. He isn't as grand as he once was, but as they say, he's yesterday's model. The kind that is built to last unlike the cheap knockoffs that you see in today's society. The speedy ones tend to get the drop on him as well, irritating him to no end as he works to try and keep up his defenses, unknowing of where the next attack will come.
His quick temper tends to get the better of him, making him take on the appearance of a hot headed spitfire who often jumps in fists swinging before he considers the rest of the situation or takes other factors into hand. Limited time and no way out? It's time to start ripping a new exit for yourself, with your fists, and cannons. Tactics, planning, and often times commands don't usually come from Ironhide. Even though he's climbed the ranks, he's ready to take the orders rather than give them. Granted, he has his moments. It's better to just be the one jumping in rather than be the one thinking of how or where.
Think of the movie Aladdin, in the Cave of Wonders. You are to touch nothing. The problem with this is that you've brought Ironhide along, and the place isn't full of gold, it's full of beautiful artillery. That big, fat, juicy gem Abu picks up? That's not jewel, that is the most powerful cannon ever built, waiting to see the light of day. Despite the yellow signs in every crack and crevice of this place, because you didn't remind Ironhide of the consequences, so he decided to try that puppy on for size. Yeah, you should be very careful with the weakness Ironhide has always had for powerful weapons. If it's there, he wants to AT LEAST try it out. It's like letting your five year old pet the puppy, who picks it up, and now they want to take the puppy home. How can you break the news to someone who is currently so happy?
When speaking of "fatallity" in one's flaws, his relentless pursuit of fighting Decepticons would have to be it. You can't tell Mr. Smash McPunch to give up fighting. That's like telling a fish to quit living under water. You could see him as an old warhorse, who has seen more combat than you will ever truly know. Even after he's seen so many comrades and brotheren on the battle field die before him, the fight never ends for this big guy. Some have guessed silently to themselves that he secretly wishes to die in combat and see the friendly faces in his memories on the other side.------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE SKELETONS IN YOUR CLOSET
Family: NA
History: Many would be right to assume that Ironhide has been a soldier his entire life. Initially created as a military build, serving as part of Cybertron's defense and protection. Ironhide has been a part of the rank and file for as long as he can remember. When the revolution first started he could see the point of and briefly entertained Megatronus' party line for reform - he had seen first hand the corruption in the higher levels of the military and the treatment of the enlisted ranks. When it came to choosing a side, he found the slash and burn technique left him with doubts and disgust. Cynical about the effectiveness of any of the revolution, Ironhide joined the Autobots as, essentially, the better of two bad choices. It was only Optimus' growing willingness to stand and fight for his beliefs in addition to talking about them that convinced Ironhide to stick with the cause, which became the core of the old soldier's loyalty to the Prime. He has, over time, become a trusted and extremely loyal officer, but he maintains a realist's pragmatic view of the war in the face of Prime's optimism.
Quite recently Ironhide has crashed onto Earth, looking for the promise of Autobots, and promising a fight for any Decepticons in his path.------------------------------------------------------------------------------IS THAT ALL YOU HAVE TO SAY?
Weaponry:Decepticons, trying to remove Ironhide's weapons is like trying to rid Cybertron of metal. There must be something hidden on ironhdie that not even Optimus has seen before, that perhaps, Ironhide has already forgotten about. His spare's third spare has a spare.
Plasms Rifle - Equipped behind his right shoulder.
Fission Cannon - Located in his right arm. This is the weapon that says "Hey, let's rip you apart at a cellular level!" Or atomic, if you prefer. The blasts aren't as big and wide spread as the bombs you see in youtube videos, but more compact, into a single punch. The force of a nuclear reaction in which a heavy nucleus splits spontaneously or on impact with another particle, with the release of energy. You can very well expect to suddenly be thrown into the air and then be slapped with the Earth itself once you crash, wondering what just MISSED hitting you.
Gatling Gun CANNON - Located in the left arm. This thing's motto is "Solving one hundred problems per minute." As you guessed, rapid fire, heavy duty cannon shells. Artists, did you mess up on your drawing? Call Ironhide over and he'll use this weapon, he calls THE VULCAN, to erase that mistake for you! Six thousand rounds per minute, I'd suggest you grab your ass and get ready to take flight. For those of you out there who need a dictionary, Vulcan is the God of Fire. He named this incendiary weapon after said god, for a reason.
Gatling Gun - Here's the Fission Cannon's second niece, who is growing up to be a nasty little spitfire. Want to see something ignite into flames from shear force, heat, and friction whilst it gets blasted to bits? What's left may very well resemble your favorite, Swiss Cheese! Located on the side of his left arm.
Machine Gun - A heavy duty, rapid fire machine gun. This is the more tame of the other three up ahead on the list. This one is located on the outside of his right arm. It fires six hundred times per minute with a napalm substance inside of the exploding shells. I'm quite sure the others will ask him not to use this, seeing as dousing flaming napalm that has just rained and scattered all over the place due to explosion propelling it is VERY hard, and very bad for our environment. Still, the ammo in this one is mainly meant to hurt and give you a could twist, whilst making things harder on you when covered in napalm. You can put it out, you're a big robot.
Paper Shredder - He has four of these babies, two on either of his shoulders in little hatches, these rockets. They aren't actually rockets, you say? Nope, they open their cases up into missiles on the way, which explode, into six smaller explosives that spread out and fall down towards the targeted area. Then, THOSE finally explode into a fiery wrath from hell which rain down sharp, serenaded shrapnel on all of the good little boys and girls. This year children, you get to watch as chunks of you are wiped clean off your existence. Basically, a pain in the ass, and real hell to try and dodge. Keep humans out of reach of bladed shrapnel from Hell. No force from explosion from this one, only literal fire, and being cut up with pieces of metal sticking out of you.
Dual Handguns - Near his neck at the top of his chassis, the butts of these weapons are always seen, partially. That is where they're located, ready to be drawn. They can only fire sixty rounds before they're done, heavy duty ammunition, made to tear open the outer armor of the enemy.
Anti-Material Cannon - Pretty much just hooked in, ready to be taken off of his back. This long ranged weapon is basically like a sniper rifle used for tanks. For the most part quiet, until it hits the target.
Extra:------------------------------------------------------------------------------WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT MEFrom his perspective, stuck in the ground up to his neck, today had not gone as planned. All he could do to shake off a bee that had ventured too close and was bothering his right optic, was shake his head about violently for a moment. That child he had a run in with turned out to be quite the bundle of trouble.
The transparent child that had had issues with his firing on the enemy, had done this to him. First, he was only in the ground, fused with it, up to his torso. From there, he still fired at another who had managed to stray out here where they weren't welcome. In Ironhide's defense, he was out here on these dusty grounds, minding his own slaggin business and these two had followed him here.
Having failed to cease fire like the kid wanted, she said fuck it, and buried him up to his neck. Now, where he stared out, looking a bit over pissed and disgruntled, awaiting assistance from his fellow comrades, so that he may stop playing House Plant.
