I have a couple things to address. I don't want to be anal about this, but I like to do my part in keeping the site clean/organized >__>.
First off is the matter regarding those that do not reply to activity checks.
[li]I recommend that if they do not post in the next two activity checks, they aren't allowed to return to the site.
[/li][li]I also recommend that we wait a month or two at a time before doing another activity check. Given how busy people are, it seems TOO regular and demanding if we make them once a month. Perhaps we should make the next in October and then the next in December, and so forth?
[/li][li]Anyone on an extended LOA could be exempt from posting as long as that member tells us they will in no way be able to check in to the site to at least post in the activity check, whether its by a mobile device, informing one of the staff members, or getting a chance to post it on a PC.
[/li][li]Warnings have been issued to the two members that didn't post in the first activity check. I talked with Seekah about upping the warning after each upcoming one or two activity checks (i believe i recalled that right). They are currently set for 30% warning levels on their main accounts only, and another 30% will be added in the next two activity checks if they still don't post in it and explain their absence.
[/li][li]Threads involving those characters will be locked about a month after the activity check is done once that person fails to respond after the time is up. Does this sound fair? They will not be archived until that person is no longer allowed on the site.
[/li][li]Three strikes and you're out. After the three activity checks every other month, that person gets their accounts removed (and member accounts banned?), and their characters retired to the Memorial Wall board thingy. I would personally rather not see inactive characters and threads cluttering the boards...but that just me. It's not fair to leave threads in the dust that people were looking forward to, either.
Threads update
[/li][li]I have made an announcements board that will store all the activity checks and other announcements such as the ones for timeline cut offs and tentative ones like this.
[/li][li]Old LOA threads will be locked when we KNOW the person has returned.
[/li][li]Message Icon symbols: As I was cleaning things up, I decided to go into the the top three boards and designate special icons for threads. Here is what I will use from now on for threads posted there:
1. Exclamation point: Announcements and other mandatory reading material will be marked with an exclamation point
2. Thumbs up: Activity checks will have a thumbs up, which will continue to be mandatory and will signify completion when they are closed.
3. Lamps: Threads that are for crossover info or TF info or should be important reading material such will have a lamp, this is not mandatory reading but it is HIGHLY recommended.
4. Locked and/or stickied threads: Locked threads are viewing member threads will be locked upon request.
5. Question marks: Announcements such as this with a question mark request input or confirmation before locking and being made official.
6. Smiley faces: Good reading, TF related, but not mandatory.[/li][/ul]
If anything needs to be added, I will make a final thread about this in the Site Guide later.
I do believe that is all I have. ANYONE is welcome to give in their opinions about the above topics. It's getting near the end of the month so I don't see a point in doing an activity check. (This thread will have the appropriate icon once decisions are made.)[/b][/color]
