I've been meaning to post this for a while. This is however important to those that are still active. After checking with Iro, we have agreed to increase the per character thread limit to FIVE threads per character.
However, there are requirements that need to be met:
1.) You must be able to manage your TOTAL THREAD limit.
2.) Canons must stay active and in at least a small portion of the threads you participate in. PLEASE be sure to compensate the uses for your RvB characters n OCs by posting with canons when they are requested. Personally, i find that there is little excuse for 'lack of muses' - with good music and at least some motivation to post, i can post with just about anyone - but that is just me.
3.) Manage the amount you have wisely. If you know you post rapid fire with certain characters, give them more threads, max it out if threads are slow. I have sought to fix this with several of my characters because many of my threads are crawling. If you are in this situation, don't feel bad about adding more threads if it helps keep your inspiration alive.
4.) Back to the canons thing -- if you feel you are too busy or lack motivation for a canon character, please admit your lack of interest. We would rather you admit this than keep a character and never post with them in the threads you're trying to finish.
For those of us that have a lot of characters or are in many threads with each character, be sure you know what you can handle.
Oh, one more requirement: 5.) Try to finish what you started if at all possible. If someone is slowing the thread down, don't worry about it, but please, for the sake of productivity and closure, if you're close to finishing a thread, don't put it off! Please check on thread statuses before you start a shiny new thread.
AS A SIDE NOTE: I realize the board activity seems to be lacking from several members. I'm just trying to offer opportunities for more activity but I'm getting frustrated that threads aren't being completed. Let's all try to contribute to the cause by trying to finish what we started first, if we wish for this board to remain active at all.
