Along with the thread limit change, this site will have several changes.
1.) A new board for old/inactive threads. Time limits will be set for threads that havent had activity for more than say 6 months. This is still being worked out and will be added to the rules. Description:
"These are TOP PRIORITY THREADS. This board is still important to the timeline of the RP. This puts things into perspective of many of the threads that have been slowed down and need to move faster in order to make progress on the timeline. These threads have been slow/inactive for more than a year due to member activity. They are primarily in designated subboards to staff that arent as active now. Otherwise, they remain outside the subboard. If you have a lot of threads in here, PLEASE make less new threads, and start new ones with the utmost conservation and criticism in mind."
2.) We may have to assume that "certain admins" won't be around as much anymore. I am willing to take the blunt end of the majority of the work, however I too am quite busy so I will only dedicate the extra time when I have the inspiration for it.
THE NEW BOARD:
The new board will have threads that have been inactive for a year or more. If they don't have updates for more than six months to a year, I will lock them so the timeline isn't too heavily influenced. This tactic was used on SD before other RPer drama hit the fan. It was successful had it not been for a few others deciding to make their own site.
We expect you all to keep track of what you haven't finished there. Any threads that go into this status requires posts. These threads will belong to those that aren't as active now or are absolutely crawling. If you use links in your thread tracker, they will have to be updated.
Inactive thread limits may be considered. Please please please try to prevent the addition of even more slow threads by staying active. Update your trackers and identify what is active. Have a fair ratio between new and active versus slow and old threads. Say 5/3 per character or some sort.
