An Unlikely Encounter [Alexis]

((Definitely think we should go with that. By the way, I apologize for my slowness with Alexis. I keep forgetting she exists... >.> BUT, after a few interesting plot twists, I should remember her a bit more. xD Oh, and I forgot, were we going to have her and Interceptor end up being partners, or am I misremembering the conversation?))

She nodded in moderate, definitely not full, understanding, watching in moderate surprise as the passenger door opened - up. Of course, this wasn't too unusual - other cars did this as well - she'd just never seen one of them. "I definitely don't mind moving. Staying in one place too long kinda makes me nervous, too. More likely to be found and all."

She approached the open door, glancing in and spotting the holoform. She wasn't sure why, but the appearance slightly amused her. It was probably the contrast of the reality and what she expected that caught her slightly off guard. She sat down carefully, a faint, lopsided grin on her face. She'd seen the inside of an Autobot before, but never ridden in one. She wasn't really sure if interceptor counted, but she counted him. He didn't seem too different from the others, he just came from somewhere else. That shouldn't make too much of a difference, should it?

"I'm just glad it was me who found you, and not one of those freaks from MECH. They worry me sometimes." Her grin dissipated, falling into a slight frown, before reforming. "But hey, you can't win 'em all." She carefully buckled the seat belt (Assuming there is one), gingerly leaning back into the seat. She wasn't sure how well they could feel their interiors, but she got the impression that this bot was getting a nice feel of her bottom, and the thought actually vaguely amused her, even if it was a bit offsetting.

"MECH? I've heard a bit about them since joining the Autobots, what are they all about?" Interceptor remembered some of the Autobots asking Cira and himself if they knew of them after they encountered Jazz later that night and both of them had no clue as to who they were. Given their honestly highly confused expressions, they were cleared by security and the Autobots decided they had no reasons to be to suspicious.

Interceptor drove onto the main road and then drove out of the city as fast as he could legally, heading for the outskirts so he could drive a little more freely for a while before he went elsewhere. He liked being on the open road, but then again, sneaking around the city was always fun until he brought attention to himself as he had now. Better Alexis than a stranger or someone from MECH, at least. {"I should probably start being more careful when I'm out alone...}"

Alexis herself only knew a few things about the organization that was MECH - and, to the best of her knowledge, the Autobots were at the same point. However, she was willing to impart what little knowledge she did have. "MECH is a human group that, for whatever reason, wish to be rid of Cybertronians and all who would support them, and often would do so at any cost. We're not really sure of their reasoning - only that some of them may feel threatened by the presence of the Autobots and the Decepticons, or perhaps it's just a human's natural fear reaction to the unknown. All we know is that they're enemies, and that many of them will not hesitate to attack - at least from what we've seen."

She twisted her mouth to the side a bit. It was their lack of knowledge that had her packing for her newest mission - to infiltrate MECH and learn as much about them as possible. She was going all out for this mission - she had a disguise planned, she was learning a new set of skills, forging government documents and histories - even down to medical history. Fortunately, she knew a few people who owed her the occasional favor every here and there - because that's just how she rolled. However, she couldn't speak openly of this mission. There was no telling where there might be bugs, and to survive as a spy, one had to be absolutely paranoid. There was no room for assumptions.

Of course, everybody at base would know - and she still needed to hook up some form of transportation - the less energon the better, meaning she'd probably have to get a new car - or, better yet, a motorcycle; it was more in character. Yes, that would have to go on her list of plans - transportation. A temporary apartment, too - unfortunately. Of course, she'd had about free housing with the Autobots, so she still had some cash stowed away, but it wasn't cheap. Of course, no job was cheap - but often, it was worth it. Besides that, she still got discounts from being a US soldier, which made it a bit more bearable. She'd have to get a better source of income one of these days, though, or she was screwed.

"I see, seems like they are just as much of a threat to the Autobots as the Decepticons are. Turns out someone from my production line is now a Decepticon. Anything in the Autobot's interest is my own and my brother's." The holoform shook his head then. "I am a spy car, and I will be going out to numerous random locations at any time. I won't be surprised if I stumble on MECH operatives. I was realizing that roaming the cities by myself is rather dangerous now because of their existence. Kind of ruined the fun I was having, but that's okay. Now I know."

The holoform relaxed a little, his fingers tapping to the beat of the music currently playing. The truth was, Interceptor had multiple forms that could be of use to Alexis, but all that was required was for her to discover them. Interceptor would immediately jump on the chance to work with her if asked, though he knew he would have to help Mike and Cira on occasion. That was no problem, at least he had access to the space bridge technology now. He was oblivious of Alexis' plans though, so he had no idea how their friendship was to develop yet. All he knew was that he was interested in this young woman, and having a chat was certainly better than possibly getting in trouble in the city.

Alexis frowned slightly hearing that. She'd heard it before, but never from the AI cars themselves - just the people and the Autobots talking about things. She was never really up close with things unless she had been planted there. She was a sniper - she didn't get close, she just shot what she was told to shoot. So any information she could get from the others is what she had - and Interceptor seemed to be taking this... Almost personally. It was distant, but still stinging, from what she could gather. Reading emotions was one thing she was particularly good at.

"A spy car? You might be able to help me out with something then - though I'm not entirely sure I should talk about it in an insecure zone. That zone not being in you - that zone being the city in general." She quirked her mouth slightly, not sure how she could have said that without it coming out slightly awkward. But it was no matter, he understood what she meant. Maybe she would talk about it, if he could confirm that she could speak freely inside the passenger compartment of his vehicle mode, but until then she would insist that they not talk about it until they get a chance to talk at base.

"So how often do you actually get a mission or whatnot? I imagine being a spy car has some interesting perks." She said this with a slight grin on her face as she thought about it. She'd never thought of what it would be like to be a car - not really. Now it was... An interesting thought. She kind of felt sorry for her parents' car now.

"Well, I'm brand new as of a mere couple months, so I can't really say how frequently yet. And only recently allying with the Autobots, all I've really been doing is snooping around for them, on the lookout for MECH activity and Decepticon activity alike, or anything else suspicious." Interceptor replied. "Occasionally I drive with Cira or Mike on specific missions, but those may or may not be spy related. Regardless, in those particular missions, my brother and I are still suitable for the job. I have a lot to look forward to, at least I hope so." he explained. There was no use hiding how young he was from her, particularly since he'd pretty much made it clear already.

Alexis nodded, pushing her hair back behind her ears as it continued to bounce forward disobediently. "I find it's best to acclimate yourself to more than one purpose. One skill by itself may not be called on for a while, and sometimes, to stay busy, you should acquire another skill set. Even if it's not great, at least people will know who to call on, you know? Not to mention, if you're working with the bots now, a diverse skill set could make your time much more fulfilling. But I'm certain that you'll find a great many opportunities - I know I won't be turning my back on any bot any time soon."

It didn't matter to her that Interceptor was an AI; he was help, and help, in any form, was greatly appreciated. They couldn't reach the point for a long time that they would have too much of it. In the movies, the good guys always win, but Alexis knew all too well that that wasn't always true. She knew things could go downhill - and, in her opinion, the more prepared they were for a diverse set of situations, the better - which meant the more people there, and the more diverse their individual skill sets, the better she believed their chances were in a worst-case scenario - because, honestly, the Autobot army was very, very small. Even Optimus saw this. She'd spoken with him about it - just recently, in fact, when she'd gone to speak with him about the alliance program Mike had proposed. While they'd handled themselves in the past, and likely could in the future, a bit more of a buffer, for more security, would boost morale, if nothing else. As such, every individual was needed - all of them. Every last one. Even if they didn't realize it most of the time.

"You will always be welcome with the Autobots, Interceptor. I may not be the boss there, but if there's any impression I've gotten from them, that's it - and if you ever need any help, I'm certain somebody will be available." Sure, it might be seen as an empty, hollow reassurance to some people - but she meant it. She was familiar with the Autobots, and she knew, or could guess at least, what it was that they usually meant.

"That is reassuring to hear." Interceptor replied sincerely. He accelerated down the highway, veering towards the open road as soon as he could. The open road seemed like a better idea now. It was often where he preferred to be unless he wanted to sneak through the cities. Otherwise, driving in cities trying to keep a low profile was simply not much fun for the young AI bot.

"Perhaps this will not be the only encounter we have, either. I'm still making friends with the Autobots, spending time on base, observing, interacting and such, but haven't seen a lot of humans other than my partner. Situation-dependent, I would like to work with you sometime." Interceptor offered - his tone casual but sincere.
