A Daily Flight [Danny/open]

[Goliath]

((Date: January 10th, 2025 // Location: at a satellite airport barely a couple miles away from the Autobot base // Time: 4:00 PM))

It was seemingly an ordinary day, and most of the aircraft at the airstrip near the Autobot base was fairly empty at this time today, though a few fighter aircraft and helicopters the humans flew remained. A couple A10's were among them, though one in particular didn't quite fit in even though he visibly seemed to.

There was a little movement and activity from those other than operating in the Air Traffic Control tower, Cira and Danny being two of them. Cira had fitted Danny out for a flight suit and with her father's permission, the Air Force had signed her off to take Danny up for a demo flight. Though the A10 was a single seater aircraft, but there were a select few out there with two seats. Otherwise, the flight would certainly not be possible. And since Danny was essentially a special case, it was easy to get her the chance for the flight.

Cira would check over the aircraft once they walked onto the flight line, and she helped Danny into the rear seat before checking over the interior and powering up. She was excited to get in the aircraft because luckily there hadn't been any battles requiring hefty aerial support just yet.

It hadn't taken much effort to alter his interior. Goliath waited in a standard gray appearance, knowing he would easily be chosen since he was the only two-seater available. Oh how he was going to have fun with this!

Thanks to the gauntlets that sucked the life out of her, the flight suit had been modified slightly at the arms. Nonetheless, she loved the somewhat baggy looking uniform. Her olive eyes danced about its appearance curiously, admiring it on her own body. Her Converse looked a bit out of place with said suit, though, paid no mind to it. For once, she allowed it, her hair was down. It reached down towards her neck at the side of her face, blending well into her bangs. An accidental Bob had been formed from a shot that had blasted away part of her hair in the back. She did not fret over this, she never truly cared about such things to begin with. It would grow back eventually, it always did. Hers seemed to come back slower however. She assumed due to her lack of nutrition most of the time, her body deciding other parts needed more than disposable hair follicles.

BUTTONS, she wished to push some. She let the expert work her magic, knowing that something bad could happen if she did not leave it to the professionals. Man, she had certainly gotten lucky with who she was partnered up with. Curious, some contained excitement, and happy. "So how long have you been a pilot, Cira?" Unfortunately, the teen too lacked knowledge of what would be taking them on a potentially violent joyride soon. "Ya know, being small has its advantages.." For instance, Ratchet could not fit in a kickass jet and go flying.

Cira chuckled as she settled in the aircraft, double checking that Danny was properly secure before she put on her helmet and strapped herself in. Once that was accomplished, she continued on with the checklist. "I've been flying since my early 20's so a few years. Still got a ways to go in mah career and lovin' it. Yeh, totally." Cira replied, knowing full well that they were about the same size. "I got more room in the A10 than most males do. Aight, continuing on." She verbalized every step of the check list on her knee that rested on a clip board, saying check every time a switch or series of lights and controls were checked.

" 'Mags' an' Engine check." Once each engine was checked from right to left as well as the right and left magnetos, she powered both of them back up and closed the canopy. "Canopy secure. Flaps down, ready to go. Good back there?" Cira asked as she began to taxi steadily out of the tie down spot.

A few years was at least a quarter of her own life. Danny satisfied with that, no qualms with Cira's decision making abilities, she was definitely ready to go. Making sure she too was restrained in a proper manner, belted in and the works as she gave a curious look to the world outside the cockpit that they were about to leave. "Ready back here, Jade."

"Rodger, onward then."

Danny would hear all the chatter between Cira and the local air traffic as she taxied out and notified them of her position, though there wasn't much out there fore now, just some helicopters doing pattern work, and she'd be well out of their way before they became an issue.

Once all was clear visibly and the aircraft was good to go, the A10 was ready to go at the end of the runway. "Time fer full throttle." The A10's engines shifted gears and started to spin at even faster rates as it consumed more power with an intense roar. The A10 rolled steadily at first then quickly began to pick up speed. Capable of taking off short distances, it acquired lift well before the end of the runway. Her ascent angle was steep, but that only would seem so because of the aircraft type and its performance capabilities. She had no reason to go vertical though, and climbing out completely vertical wasn't very power efficient. "Ready to see what this baby can do? We can brave a few spins later if you want."

[Windrider]

Meanwhile as the A10 took off a dark green speck in the sky moved past the air base. Windrider knew he shouldn't get too close to the native's buildings, especially not a place where he could see their own aircraft were kept. Unfortunately his curiosity got the better of him and he circled high above, not too worried about their radar as he seemed to have the ability to evade their detection methods. Of course he had no idea if other Cybertronians could detect him but as far as he knew he was the only one on the planet.

He used his own sensors to observe the A10 taking off as he stopped in the air, using his STOVL jets to keep him in the air. He had to admit their aircraft were curious to him though he also observed the two occupants inside. He activated his main jet to keep himself moving so he didn't appear suspicious to them, or try not to anyway.

[Arcee]

Arcee hadn't even meant to be in the area. She had simply been close by, sat on the edge of the Autobot base roof. Her gaze had caught sight of the lifting A10, and she couldn't help but smile slightly. For a bunch of fleshlings, their technology actually wasn't that bad, no matter what Ratchet grumbled about and how much he did it.

Really, she was up there due to having another nightmare recently. She hardly slept nowadays. She knew that she needed to at least talk to someone about it, but she didn't know who would understand. Hardly any of them knew what it was like to lose two partners to the Decepticons. She pulled her knees to her chest and rested her arms on the kneecaps, watching the A10 to try and take her mind off of things.

She had no idea that she had just referred to Cira as Jade, most likely out of a need for some sort of familiar comfort.

Danny simply was not a flier, she didn't often fly unless she has to, and that was on a plane with no windows. This was on a military aircraft, with windows, and an ever so casual Cira in front piloting it. Did she feel safe? Danielle had decided it was far better to ignore that question, and put all hope and trust on Cira when it assuming this one knew what she was doing. {"Dad wouldn't have suggested her if he didn't think she was safe. Man, I hate heights, so very very much.."} She reached over, gripping the edges of her seat as she watched the contraption she rode in take to sky. The rumble of the A10's engine over powered the sound of her Spark which was currently about to burst out of her chest cavity. Her great olive eyes widened with how high they had already reached in such little time, impressive, not horribly dangerous at all. "Heh, sure, show me what you've got."

{"Danny, I hate you so much. Hey, this could be fun, once I see."}

The red head took a peek from the side of her window, hoping to catch sight of the base. She wanted to remember what it looked like, just in case.

Cira grinned and twisted the A10 counter clockwise once briefly before adjusting the angle of attack by using the joy stick while picking up airspeed again and transitioned into a more tame climb. "All right then! I will ensure yer entertained. It's great having the chance to fly with someone!" she replied cheerfully, still completely unaware that she was flying a Decepticon drone.

Goliath had recently awoken, ahead of schedule, and they were in for a surprise after Cira had a little bit of fun with her fellow fleshie friend.

She gained altitude some more before going into a series of cork screw maneuvers similar to the one she had done when going up more vertically, this time just performing them more level. After leveling out, she saw another jet in the distance, and curiously moved towards it though giving it plenty of space. Her lights were on and she would be easily noticeable.

Why was it hovering? Cira knew aircraft could do it, but was there a reason for it here? Was it watching them? Any dumb question was a question not asked, it couldn't hurt since the radio channel was rather quiet. ="Unrecognizable aircraft north of the airfield, what are your intentions? A10 flying northbound from airfield at lower altitude, won't be a factor."=

[Windrider]

Windrider watched the A10 as the pilot put the aircraft through a few manoeuvres, finding it useful to see how the native's piloted their aircraft. It gave him information he would need to mimic the movements and abilities of their aircraft so he could blend in better. It also taught him how to use his own jet form better since he really didn't know how to fight, he was only a kid after all.

Unfortunately he noticed the A10's course was heading right for him and he had to assume they had spotted him. {'Just what I need...'} He thought to himself as he activated his main jet but he wasn't sure if he could out run them so he flew at a fair distance from them, hopefully far enough that they wouldn't be able to see that he was flying without a pilot. However when he received a radio signal from them asking what his intentions were his spark starting going a mile a minute as he was unsure how to respond. Of course he had learnt their language, their vast network allowed for him to quickly pick it up, but it was more he didn't know how the natives tended to respond to one another, though he activated his com link

="Understood, F-32B flying observation manoeuvres."= He replied over the com link and he hoped that they would put the metallic twang in his voice down to the com link. He also hoped that his reply was proper as he continued to fly fairly parallel to them.

[Arcee]

Arcee's optics narrowed slightly as she picked up on the new aircraft - an F-32B, if her research served her well - close by to the A10 that Cira was flying. She hadn't really had the chance to meet the young woman, but had seen her in passing back in the base. She'd need to get to know her sometime. But for now, the new plane had caught her attention, and there was something about that she didn't like, but couldn't quite place.

She rose to her feet, watching the scene intently, just waiting for something to go wrong. If it turned out to be a Decepticon, then she wouldn't hesitate to call for help and, if needed, jump up to help herself. Arcee would need Cira's permission, though. It wasn't like the blue femme had a jetpack.

[Kira Knight]

Cira banked away from Windrider's general direction, then began to climb. While doing so, she thought she heard an abnormal rumble from the engines. Yet all the warning lights were off and the gauges were in the green (or in brief moments, pushing the yellow) - she raised an eyebrow at this, but said nothing as they continued to climb and move away from Windrider with generous distance to gain some altitude for a spin. "I wonder if that's an Autobot...I haven't seen many of those lately." Cira muttered as they climbed and climbed and climbed. "Those" meaning the aircraft, by Cira's terms.

"Danny, things are going to get a bit crazy in a moment, but only for a bit. When you've had enough, you can just yell 'stop!' and I'll neutralize the spin. We get trained to do this, so absolutely nothing bad will happen. Promise." she said to the red head behind her.

="Initiating simulated spin, keeping distance."=

[Windrider]

Windrider was glad when the A10 started to bank away from him and he let out a involuntary sigh. For him that had been a bit of a tense moment, he really didn't want to scare the natives of this planet, especially where he could tell he was quite a bit bigger then they were. That was still something he was adjusting to, his body was that of a full grown Cybertronian while he was still only really just a kid.

He continued to maintain his distance from the A10 though he kept his optics locked onto them, observing them as they started to climb into the air. He was curious about what they were doing, it was clear they were not in the air to fight something, for which he was grateful. Still as he heard the com message from the pilot of the A10 he couldn't help but be curious as he watched.

It was safe to say Danny would not be riding on any roller coasters, ever. The higher they climbed, the further she tried to sink her seat. As if hiding would mean karma won’t spot her and nothing will happen to Cira, the jet, or herself.

When the spinning at high speeds started, the physically and mentally seventeen year old medic shut her eyes, just happy she couldn’t clear see how high up they were doing something so reckless. After the psychotic maneuvers ceased, she opened her eyes again, dead silent, working on attempting to talk herself into being relaxed. As they started again, there was no telling in her olive eyes which way was up and which was down. Danielle watched the clouds spin around them playfully, mercilessly. {“I don’t like this. I don’t like this. I don’t FRAGGING like this!”}

A distraction that took this ‘ride of joy’ to a leveling stop. Her mind allowed to move onto other things, Danny curiously looked on after what Cira had spotted. {“Don’t... Be.. A... Con...”} Something they really did not need while up in the air.

LIES! “Wait - what?! Wait! Who is that out there? What about them?” It wasn’t just a moment to cap the fun, it was something to ease her distrusting nerves.

[Goliath]

Goliath was not much one for words. He resisted doing such for now though, and increased the power of the radio jamming system so that the females couldn't hear each other at all. All they would hear is the sound of his alternate mode functioning normally. He wanted to act now, as he was tired of being so patient. He would have likely let them fly around a bit longer, but the music was getting annoying. If Goliath listened to any music, it would likely be techno industrial, or perhaps heavy metal.

A sudden low rumble came from the twin engines near the fuselage of the A-10 and sharply, he began to bank towards the left and then rolled into a short barrel roll to the right towards Windrider, releasing air to air missiles towards Windrider's general direction. He didn't care about being precise with his target. He just wanted to cause destruction.

He knew there was another Autobot on the ground, and released Predator drones towards Arcee. They began to fire laser beams without remorse towards the lone femme. Once they reached the ground, they transformed into motorcycle drones of the same color as their aerial frames, black and silver unlike their owner.

"DESTROY."was basically the only thing going through his mind now. The base, not just Danny and Cira, would be under attack soon.
