There was no initial care in her demeanor as she stared ahead at nothing with a cold, brittle pain. For a moment, her hands strayed to uncomfortable depths with meaningless effort that lacked destination. Drawing them up from the sides of the equally as chilled seat, she allowed them to slip snugly into a locked cross just below her chest. While the chair held her in firm comfort, it did not let her thoughts rest easy. The conflicting ideals and wants that clashed to scorn her within her own mind. Still, there was some comfort in having her very large partner in crime about with her.
"That's interesting." Her words were both hollow and utterly tasteless, tinged with the unsatisfactory of someone who was not in the least bit amused. As comforting as it was to have Windshear around in her time of need, her lack of speech spoke another message that she didn't apparently give a single damn at this moment and was going to refuse that seat-belt in the nicest manner she could possibly muster at this moment.
There was, by far, a bit of regret. Along with it, finally an actual reaction to something. An uneasy grunt escaped her along with a wide eyed expression that drew her lips back to bear teeth that faced a sudden nervous tremor within herself. With it, a sudden pain, uh, everywhere it had been before. Something to let go, gripping the sides of her seat for a moment until all seemed to calm once more. Acting like a cat on edge waiting for the furry ridge on its back to flatten once more, she kept the hiss of annoyance and sadness to herself. Settling back down into her seat, calmly, her hands now more at the ready. "Yeah, just peachy. Don't worry about it, Windshear. Just get us back home."
Even when irritated with an extreme cursing to be left along, it was often found that she would still respond with the same question out of courtesy. This time, it was cast aside for one one to receive.
