THE DETAILS
Scorchrust has an oddly brightly coloured paint job, being a light orange main frame with red markings.
Scorchrust's vehicular alt mode is a slender UCAV combat jet with a curvy, futuristic design heavily based on the UCAV EDI from the action flick STEALTH that was made in 2005. Its fuselage is constructed entirely from carbon fibre which is very flexible but also tough. The only significant metal component is the wing spar, running through the middle and reinforcing the wings.

Personality:
Scorchrust tends to be young and inexperienced and sports a lot of curiousity. He has times where he's insecure and shy, but when he's opened up to a friend, he tends to be very childish, sweet as a button and kind of spark. He's polite towards everyone he meets, yet he also tends to be stubborn, self centered and cowardly. Even though he seems to be paranoid now and then, to whom he considers a friend, he'd even walk into the middle of the battlefield and get himself killed. This might be because he's the most naive robot you would ever come across.
Strengths:
Scorchrust never forgets anything he's seen or heard. (photo- and audiographic memory) Even though he is physically weak, his body is more or less robust. Scorchrust can be very quick. (Reaches max. 85 mach)
Weaknesses:
As mentioned, Scorchrust is EXTREMELY clumsy and naive. He is easily tricked and trips over his own feet. He is bad at stealth missions and at staying quiet. He is also very hot headed and attacks without a second thought. He is also physically (without firearms or backup in general) rather weak.

History:
Scorchrust was a young seeker that was born into the war of Cybertron. He was the last sparkling made, seemingly rushed as he lacks the knowledge a sparkling should have, thus being both mute and inexperienced with everything, even himself. Scorchrust ceases to have any family, but one of the few things he remembers is that Starscream was the first other Transformer he had ever seen in his entire life and through a series of coincidences, Starscream "accidently" saved his life by shoving him out of the way when a shot was going straight for him. Since that, Scorchrust considered Starscream his own progenitor, even though that most likely isn't true, so he joined the Decepticons as a seeker unit. He began having problems, as when he was shoved, his optics were knocked out of focus and he became near-sighted. He was left behind by the other Decepticons when Cybertron was dying.
Ever since Scorchrust had been roaming the galaxy in search of his bretheren, determined to reunite with them and do things right this time. When he he comes to Earth and finds the Decepticons, he doesn't feel very welcome by Megatron and he is once again abandoned by them, since they had no use for a clumsy bot like him, proceeded to physically abuse him and then discarded him by throwing him off the Nemesis. Even his idolized 'father', Starscream told him to go away since he depicted Scorchrust to be "annoying".

WHAT YOU DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME
As mentioned in the history, Scorchrust cannot speak cybertronian, thus he's known as being mute and rather "stupid" and "useless". He can only speak after learning the english language by coming to earth. He also picks up earth's religions and he is often caught exclaiming "Oh my God!".
As mentioned in his name, he's infected with cosmic rust.

"Oh, well..." Scorchrust seemed to ponder. "... I think I've said it
before, but I was looking for the Decepticons, because I was
separated from then when Cybertron... Well..." he paused. "...you know
what. I still had this." he said, pulling out a small radar
device. "I can track their signals as they can track mine, but they've
never looked for me, so I went to look for them myself." he shrugged
idly. "I had problems with seeing the tiny dot on planet Earth, so it
took me a while."
