General SPC Information
True to his nickname, Biggs is... big. He is quite a tall fellow, standing at 6'7”, and very broadly and powerfully built, as well. He clearly puts a lot of work and effort into keeping himself in shape, and it shows. He is heavily muscled, particularly in the upper body. When he is not wearing his full-body MECH uniform, Biggs is most often seen lounging around in loose jeans and a t-shirt, though it is somewhat difficult to find casual clothes for someone of his size. He is a good-looking fellow of mixed Polynesian and African-American descent, with smooth, coffee-colored skin, a shaved head, and a brilliant grin. His eyes are dark brown and his nose is a bit crooked from where it was once broken.
He has no tattoos, but a handful of scars scattered around his body, and if asked, he has a story for each one.
Name: Anthony Geoffrey Biggleston
Nicknames: Biggs or Tony
Species: Human
Age: 32
Gender: Male
Route: Straight
Alignment: At the moment he is aligned with MECH, and he believes that he fights for humanity against the Cybertronian threat. Like many low-level MECH goons, he doesn't realize that the company he works for is more concerned with profit than human prosperity.
Status: He is a seasoned MECH officer. Anyone looking at him might be tempted to think he's more brawn than brains, but Biggs has a healthy amount of experience under his belt, and a sharp mind. He is a seasoned footsoldier, and serves either as a commander or a second-in-command on typical missions. Lately, he has been serving more and more often as Isaac Fletcher's partner on missions.
Personality: Biggs is the kind of guy who likes to get the job done, but, once the job is done, can be counted on the slack off like a champion. He is an easygoing fellow once he's off-duty, and will often good-naturedly bribe and sneak his way out of boring chores or assignments. He has an easily-wielded sense of humor, and overall is not difficult to befriend.
He often doesn't let on how intelligent he is, simply out of habit. He is not a dramatic fellow, and will easily shrug off verbal insults and do what he can to avoid drama in social situations. Biggs is often called upon to act as a mediator when things get tense, partially because he is very level-headed and calm, and partially because the presence of such a huge fellow is something of a calming agent itself.
Biggs isn't what you'd call an intellectual. He liked to read every now and then, and will occasionally let Isaac drag him off to an artsy film festival, but he prefers his entertainment to be easy to process. He loves video games, and will readily defend his hobby if criticized for it due to his age.
He is also a “big-picture” kind of guy. He likes to take care of main tasks and let details work themselves out. This leaves him with a somewhat-disorganized way of living, and he is occasionally behind on his bills. He would greatly benefit from a secretary. Professionally, this means that Isaac is often left with the paperwork he doesn't finish, but he usually makes it up to his pal.
Likes:
- Video games, from the newest hi-tech innovations to the timeless classics of the Atari era. He has quite a few gaming consoles at his house.
- His job with MECH. Like many lower-ranking soldiers, he genuinely believes he is doing good for humanity.
- Isaac Fletcher. The two men are practically like brothers.
- Pretty ladies! Biggs definitely has an eye for the fairer sex, but he is quite a gentleman about his interest.
- Working out. It's a good way to blow off steam or to give his body something to do while his mind thinks. He has a membership to his local gym, as well as a few basic pieces of equipment in his home.
Dislikes:
- Cybertronians. As far as he's concerned, they're all rotten invaders who are up to no good.
- People assuming he's a big dumb meathead just because he's a big guy.
- Anyone who messes with kids. Period. You don't use kids as hostages, you don't smack kids around, you don't threaten them, ever.
- Being called “Mister Biggleston.” He's mildly embarrassed of his last name.
- Messiness in general. He's very meticulous about his personal appearance, and a very clean fellow, and he keeps his house and his personal car the same way.
Strengths: Physically, Biggs is quite obviously powerful. Against other humans, he can hold his own very well. He's muscular and trained in a variety of hand-to-hand combat methods. People also often underestimate his intelligence, since he doesn't broadcast it very much, and this can easily be used as an advantage. His fighting style is to go in swinging and take the foe down quick, if he can.
Against Cybertronians, his best strength is his experience. He has tangled with Decepticons before, and he has been properly trained by MECH to handle situations involving them. He is also very fit, and makes good use of his higher-than-average endurance. Like many MECH operatives, he works best when combined as part of a team. He is particularly effective when paired up with Isaac, or any other tech-savvy fighter.
Mentally, Biggs is able to keep his cool in a variety of bad situations. He is less likely to let his emotions, be they anger, fear, or anything else get in the way of completing his mission. He is also much more clever than many would think to give him credit for.
Weaknesses: Physically, he is no match for a Cybertronian. If you step on him, he goes squish. Against human opponents, he is faster than one might expect from a guy so big, but he isn't among the fastest out there.
Mentally, his “big picture” sort of view can make it easy for him to disregard important details, and a plan might fall apart if left entirely up to Biggs. He is reasonably intelligent, but he just doesn't have a mind for tech, and he isn't as adaptable as many others. He tends to lose his cool if kids are involved in a combat situation, and he has been known to use excessive force on his foes when kids have been endangered. The best way to cloud his judgment is to involve children in any given fight.
Fears: There isn't much that Biggs is genuinely afraid of. Obviously, if he's being chased down by a giant angry robot, he doesn't want it to catch him, but he has no prominent phobias.
Weaponry: His arsenal changes depending on the type of mission MECH sends him on, but when he's on-duty, he usually carries a variety of firearms. Among his weapons are:
- Electro-Rifle: A rifle that fires gel rounds; these stick to an enemy upon contact and release bursts of mild electrical charge over an extended period of time. When used on a human, this is painful, but not lethal. Continued use, however (i.e. covering your foe in sticky bullets and not letting up) can kill a human. This is used primarily to fritz out electrical equipment, but is also pretty effective at deterring Cybertronians. He almost always has this.
- Flash grenades and/or smoke grenades. He almost always carries some of these.
- Rarely, an EMP grenade
- Very rarely (as in, he will have needed to specifically request this weapon) a weapon that MECH officers have been calling, simply, the Special. It's a weapon that emits a highly-powered electromagnetic pulse that instantly knocks a Cybertronian offline for a short time (basically, the weapon used on Breakdown and on Bumblebee in the show). This thing requires a lot of power, so continued use requires both recharge time and battery packs to use over an extended period of time. It's pretty much a one-shot deal unless MECH's had a lot of prep-time before an encounter.
History: Biggs doesn't actually talk about his past much. What is known is that he was the only child of a couple who no longer lives. His accent suggests that he spent some of his childhood in the Louisiana (he has a slight Cajun drawl). He went straight into the military after high school, and from there somehow found his way into MECH.
Digging into his records will reveal that he voluntarily left the military. He has very strong convictions about MECH and about Cybertronians, so it is likely that he had a run-in with one that convinced him to choose his current side. The details of this are unknown.
Did You Read The Rules?: Yes. Starscream is still a space turkey.
